Hi! I’m Colin West, a visual effects artist from the UK.
I have been fascinated with film and art from a young age, mesmerised with the images on tv and cinema screens and how they hold the power to create worlds for the imagination to explore.
I studied Technical & Information Illustration at Blackpool & The Fylde College and graduated with a BA(Hons) in in 2008.
During my final year of study at Blackpool I was introduced to 3D software, and it opened my eyes to a whole new exciting world, one where my ambitions to work in film could be realised.
I graduated with Merit from the NCCA Digital Effects MA course at Bournemouth University in 2011.
I have just been employed by Framestore as a Junior Houdini Technical Director, and will be working in the Commercials department producing some of the finest visual effects seen on screen.
